I'm always looking for new music and would love to highlight what you're doing. If you are writing and performing ORIGINAL music, I would like to showcase your musical stylings in my segment breaks. I'm also looking for some cool intro music for the podcast but more about that later.

Use the submission form to send me the MP3 version of your recorded song (pick one song and send it. I don't want an album) along with the other pertinent info that I've asked for. If you have links to your stuff online, please add them. If not, don't worry about it. I'm not making any decisions based on your internet presence.

If you need more reasons to get your tunes spotlighted on an upcoming episode, so far we have the podcast on iTunes, SoundCloud, Google Play, Stitcher, Patreon (a great way to get funding for your music btw. Click HERE for more info on that opportunity.) and a few others in the works. There is a lot of opportunity to get your music out to a wide variety of people. We also optimize our webpages for search engines, and the search option on our page makes your links easy to find within episodes. Links to your stuff helps with your page rank making you easier to find on the web. Now who couldn't use a little more web traffic?!

Musical ThoughtsIf your music is selected, your piece of music will be included in the podcast, plus I'll add links to all your internet incarnations on YouTube, iTunes, Facebook, etc. that you have. You won't receive anything else in return other than links so don't expect there to be any sort of financial compensation regardless of how popular or famous you become. And also it won't be removed from my podcast regardless of your future fame.

It also means that you keep all the rights to your music. By submitting your song for use, you're agreeing to let me use your song on one podcast forever. Sell it somewhere else. Get it on another podcast. Do what you like. It's your song, but I will never re-edit a podcast to remove your song.

Submitting your work to me for use on The Happy Cabbage (podcast and website) means you're cool with the terms and promise not to be douchey about it later if your circumstances change. For real. I don't want to deal with legal bullshit later because you changed your mind so think carefully about it before you submit your work.

As far as the intro tune, I'm open to options. It could just be instrumental. It could have lyrics. I don't care as long as it's good and I like it. I'm in no way a musician and could easily be referred to as a talentless clod in this regard. I've always been a fan of the Gary Shandling Show's intro song, so something goofy and funny could always win my heart. Once again, just sayin'.

Cheers,

Janis

P.S. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at: thc@thehappycabbage.com. Only QUESTIONS!!! If you send me a bunch of your stuff at once or spam me, I'm not going to consider your work. You've been warned. I have a long memory and tend to hold grudges.
